The right size of the student. Biotypology, eugenics and pedagogy in Argentina (1930 – 1943)

Abstract
Social and medical technologies proposed by eugenic literature are well knowed: control differential of the conception; sterilization of individuals or weak groups like mental or the criminals; eugenic abortion and control of immigration. Among these technologies are highlighted, especially in the 30s of last century and thanks to the tutelage of the Asociación Argentina de Biotipología, Eugenesia y Medicina Social, the biotypologycal cards of the population. In this paper, we examine the close ties that existed between biotypology and pedagogy within the association to understand how to implement the proposal of typify the entire student population of the country. We‘ll realize about the resistance and disagreements that could derail the proposal
