Current developments and tissues in the field of educational technology: kaleidoscope in motion

Abstract
This article offers some analytical structures that articulate current insights and offer clues to rethink teaching and learning when technological mediation. After a brief review of the field of Educational Technology from its origins to today, it focuses on interwoven trends (as articulators of ideas). The first presents a cognitive perspective considering the participatory mind as construct that provides a prism for understanding cognition in times of social networks; the second focuses on teaching and develops the idea of ”‹”‹reconstruction of experiential learning; the latter addresses the new trends in collaborative knowledge production. These three interwoven trends create a "Kaleidoscope" that offers a demystification of the relationship between technology and innovation, between technology and motivation and a more complex perspective to generate educational change.
